M.I.E.M. HAS EVOLVED: MORE COMPACT, EFFICIENT AND COST-EFFECTIVE

Working alongside our customers to improve the energy efficiency of their systems is one of the aspects that defines 皇冠体育227鈥檚 commitment to the world of compressed air production. An approach that combines environmental and economic sustainability to generate increased value.

Since 1999 the company was the first in the sector to develop advanced software capable of analysing the energy consumption data of a compressed air production plant, capturing a complete energy profile of the air usage and offering precise indications as to the potential for increasing energy efficiency within the plant and how to achieve it. This is M.I.E.M. 鈥 皇冠体育227 Intelligent Energy Management.

Today 皇冠体育227 brings to market a new release of this equipment, which now includes more languages (including Spanish, French, German and Chinese), an expanded range of analysed network parameters, improved software capabilities, a reduction in overall dimensions as well as a lower price.

鈥淲e have continued to invest in the development of M.I.E.M. because we are convinced of the added value it can offer, both to our distributors and the end customer鈥, explains Davide Massari from 皇冠体育227, who managed the development process of this new version of M.I.E.M. 鈥淐ompanies are always looking to reduce operating costs, both for the economic benefits and for the increased focus on environmental issues. Through M.I.E.M. they can discover the real efficiency potential of the compressors and as a result, decide whether-or-not to make the necessary changes to have a network that is better performing and, can deliver fast returns-on-investment due to the significant energy-savings鈥.

The new M.I.E.M. doesn鈥檛 need an external power supply and is so much more compact that it can be comfortably held in one hand. It is also extremely versatile; able to carry out network analysis on up to three compressors at once. It is also simple to use; once connected to a compressor, it switches on and starts recording and storing data. It can even be connected to compressors that are already active; particularly useful for companies without a back-up compressor.

Customer-specific needs can be configured from a PC and in real-time, the compressor鈥檚 electrical data is displayed along with relative trend graphs.
鈥淣ormally the compressor operation analysis is carried out over 7 continuous days鈥, continues Davide Massari. 鈥淭his timeframe also allows us to analyse consumption over the weekend, identifying any leaks in the compressed air network鈥.

In short, it鈥檚 a valuable tool for distributors: 鈥淚t鈥檚 compact allowing the operator to always have it with them and, it is ready to connect and leave running at the customer鈥檚 premises on a moments notice鈥, explains 皇冠体育227 CEO, Giulio Contaldi. 鈥淭he price point also makes it particularly attractive; compared to the previous version as this new M.I.E.M. costs about 30% less than the previous version鈥.
